Hirado Kohsyo Sake Vessel with Chrysanthemum Decoration
Description
Hirado Kohsyo Danemon Kiln is said to have established Mikawachi Ware which comes from the city of Mikawachi in Nagasaki Prefecture beginning in the Edo period (17th century).
The Hirado chrysanthemum fine engraving technique requires the cutting out of flower petals one by one with the craftsmen's hands and requires a careful approach all the way from moulding to the firing.
When sake is poured into the cup, it makes the chrysanthemum flower appear floating on water.
Don't miss out on this chance to own a piece of Japanese artistry! Add this Chrysanthemum styled sake cup to your collection today and experience the beauty with every sip.
NOTE: Due to the handmade nature, slight variations in pattern and colour may occur, making each cup truly special.
